This is kind of a follow on post from ‘matching foundation online’ which you can read here. I had planned to buy more drugstore foundations before writing this post but I just haven’t found any that really catch my eye, so I’ll write a separate post for the drugstore foundations that I end up buying. Hopefully I maybe be able to help some of you who may be unsure which foundation to buy. I’m actually really struggling to find a foundation that I’m in love with at the moment, after moving away from Estée Lauder Double Wear I’ve tried lots of different foundations which are great but just not quite right for my oily skin type.

NARS Sheer Glow – £31

This foundation definitely has the best coverage out of these 3 foundations, which is why it has become my favourite of the three. It lasts the best out of these three on my face but by the end of the day it has still rubbed off in places a little more than the Estée Lauder would but it does have the benefit of not being as heavy as the Estée Lauder double wear and so allows your skin to breathe more. If I was to buy this foundation again I would try it in the shade darker, although this shade does match my skin tone perfectly I would prefer a little more colour as I can easily look quite washed out. I do wear this foundation every day and really like it however I don’t think I’ll be buying it again.

YSL Touche Éclat – £32.50

This foundation is really great to apply because it goes on so smoothly and it’s easy to build up, plus if you need to you can reapply over powder and it blends right back in. Although half way through the day this foundation starts to look very oily on my face and I feel the need to reapply powder, because of this it rubs off my face very easily if I touch it. The coverage is medium but at the moment I need something with higher coverage. Another that unfortunately just doesn’t seem to suit my skin type. I’d love for it to but

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk – £37

I’m still not completely sure how I feel about this foundation. The coverage is OK and it lasts well. There are similarities between this foundation and the Esteé Lauder Double Wear, you can’t really build up either of these foundations as it starts to come back off and applying more after powder is a complete no go. Personally I’m not a huge fan of this foundation but that’s just because this particular one didn’t suit my skin type, I’m sure that some of you will love it! I just don’t think it’s one that I’ll be buying again.

No7 Airbrush Away Pore Minimising Primer – £16.50

I tried all of these foundations with and without this primer and I did find that the foundations lasted a lot longer without rubbing away quite as much, it did also help to minimise my pores but not completely. I’m yet to find a primer that does…

Yeah that’s a good idea, they’re just so different on everyone though so it’s difficult to know isn’t it. Out of these three though I’d probably recommend NARS Sheer Glow the most x

They are such popular foundations aren’t they! Is there one your leaning more towards or are you completely unsure? Thank you so much!

I haven’t decided, I’m definitely going to have to do a lot of research before I buy anything
