Make up is great for concealing/covering up spots and imperfections however if it’s not removed properly it can also be the cause. Every morning I like to start the day with a fresh face and end the day the same way. To do this I use a few inexpensive products that seem to work for me. With face scrubs, washes and moisturisers I don’t really stick to one, when I run out I take a look in boots and pick one that I like the look of. I also tend to buy more products that I need and switch between them this way my face doesn’t get too dry or oily because of one product being overused.
At the moment I start the day with Garnier Pure Active Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash after dabbing my face dry with a clean towel I take a cotton wool pad with a few splashes of Garnier Pure Active Micellar Water and wipe my face. After this has dried I thinly apply Simple light moisturiser, (I recently used up all of my Garnier Ultralift Anti-wrinkle Firming Day Cream) and once it’s no longer sticky I start with my make up routine.
At the end of the day I prefer to remove my make up as soon as I can, starting this routine with a make up wipe, I don’t really stick to one type/brand of make up wipe however I like to be sure that they’re for sensitive skin because I find that some can be too harsh and my face begins to sting. After using a wipe I use either Simple moisturising facial wash or Avon’s blemish clearing wash, which is great because it can be used as either a quick face was or a mask. I then use either the Garnier Pure Active Micellar Water again or Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion on a cotton wool pad. Once my face is fully free from make up I apply Garnier Ultralift Anti-wrinkle Firming Night Cream, I try to do this routine a while before I go to bed but if I do apply the cream directly before I’m going to bed I try to avoid my eyelids as this can cause puffy eyes the next morning.
I would definitely recommend Neutrogena’s products if you suffer from blackheads, it’s made my skin look so much clearer since I started using it.
Are there any facial products you can recommend or would like me to review?
